Job description
IBM Networking sales requires the sales of Services, Hardware and Software products to both existing and new clients in a defined territory. A successful specialist will achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets for opportunity identification, Signings, Revenue and Profitability. An aptitude for the sale of differentiated information technology solutions, efficient territory management discipline, solid financial selling and business casing skills, and professional communications skills both written and verbal are minimum requirements in this position.
An aggressive, motivated self-starter will have the attitude, drive and persistence to create, pursue and win in this competitive marketplace. Knowledge of Networking, Cisco, Juniper and other Networking technologies is an asset.
This role offers direct customer facing role on a high leverage sales position; exposure to Networking technology and manufacturers such as Cisco, Juniper, etc.; Linkage to key technologies, such as Cloud, Wireless, Security; Exposure to large Government accounts; career path to client teams or sales management.
Key to success in this role is close collaboration and partnerships across the IBM sales eco-system (with client relationship teams, pre- and post-sale technical resources, and specialists representing other IBM product units) and business partner eco-system (including vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, etc, as well as authorized resellers, systems integrators and independent software vendors).
