Software Subscription & Support Renewals Sales Specialist
The S&S Renewals Sales Specialist will be responsible for renewing Software Subscription and Support for on premise licenses on time, which may include other software renewals as the team evolves.
He/she should possess the technical /sales expertise required to successfully conduct all phases of the sales cycle.
The primary goals of this position are to ensure renewals are closed on time, year-to-year growth, maximizing the software subscription and support revenue, protecting and growing clients spend with IBM.
Specifically, S&S Renewals Sales Specialists are responsible for:
· Maximising renewal revenue opportunities to achieve the Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly Revenue targets
· Focusing on building competency around the renewal, with a strong drive in building best practice, integration and processes to maximize year to year growth
· Successfully closing each month renewals for the designated territory, including regular reconciliation of customer entitlements per renewal and accurately reflecting expected forecasting revenue amounts
· Leveraging and working with the Software Brands, Territory Coverage Sales Reps, Client Leaders, Business Partners and extended teams to ensure sales progression and timely renewal closure
· Identifying issues and implementing solutions/processes to drive the successful closure of the renewal
· Comply with all IBM Policies and procedures The S&S Renewals Sales Specialist must demonstrate all the behaviours associated with our high-performance sales culture, specifically managing a high-volume pipeline of renewals opportunities through the appropriate fulfilment channels, committing to and delivering results against monthly/quarterly forecast and target renewal sales process.
When deemed appropriate, travel will be required to secure client's relationship and work through complex solutions. Understanding IBM's cross brand portfolio, passport advantage, and end to end business process, external and internal, is critical to this sales position.
The S&S Renewals Sales Specialist works independently for most of his/her activities but may need to work under the guidance of a team leader or more experienced sales specialist on certain circumstances. He/She will be required to provide timely forecast and risk analysis to either his/her direct manager or another member of the management team according to business specific requirements.
