Software Engineer - IBM.com Marketplace Commerce platform

Job description

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our RTP team in IBM Digital.

In this role, you will help deliver solutions that directly support the end-user transactions surrounding the purchase and provisioning of products and services on IBM.com and IBM Cloud. You will be responsible for maintaining and building APIs, database services, and other micro-services that interface with various backend ledger, provisioning, billing, and account management systems. The squad provides the core service for the IBM Marketplace and works with dozens of stakeholder teams for requirements and availability.
You will help the team focus on high performance, scalability, high availability, analytics, and A/B testing, with collaboration across teams and business units. You will be challenged to develop large-scale, globalized systems leveraging a wide variety of open source and commercial technologies.

The ideal candidate will have experience in modern web technologies such as Node.js, Javascript, Typescript, Angular 5, React, MongoDB, Cloudant, and building and deploying REST APIs. We perform continuous delivery and continuous integration with a strong emphasis on automated testing, automated deployments, full code coverage, monitoring, and other modern DevOps processes using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Travis, Slack, etc.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  At least 6 months experience working in an agile development environment to deliver production software
·  Software development experience with a variety of programming languages
·  Experience developing automated tests
·  Experience with RESTful API
