Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Technical Development Manager to lead a software team in the design, development, validation, delivery, and maintenance of enterprise application modernization software running on IBM Z system environments. Your squad will be responsible for developing, validating, and maintaining foundational blocks of IBM Z and application modernization stack which is a software solution designed to help enterprises transform their mission critical applications to modern languages using the help of generative AI. Your squad will also be responsible for development, working closely with IBM Research to drive productization, and working with product management on requirements and GTM. In addition, your team will be working closely with sponsor users, multiple internal software teams, and be responsible to ensure product quality and user experience.

·  Lead and manage developing, validating, and maintaining software products through the complete agile software development cycle
·  Collaborate with extended development management teams to identify, prioritize, evaluate, and deliver optimized solutions
·  Work closely with Product management, and design teams as well as customers adopting the modernized and strategic solutions for IBM Z System
·  Identify and track project milestones
·  Present clear and concise status to leadership
·  Continuously grow the skills and experiences of the team

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  10+ years of experience in IT & 5+ years experience in Software Development Management
·  2 years’ experience in software release management
·  2 years of leadership using Agile software methodologies
·  Demonstrated technical project management skills
·  Knowledge in Enterprise development techniques
·  Strong communication, leadership, analysis, and priority-setting skills
·  Ability to foster a culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

·  10+ years of experience in Software Development
·  4 years of experience in software product release management
·  2 or more years of experience in content development
·  1 or more years of experience in Open-Source software development and management
·  1 or more years of experience with Z Systems hardware, operating systems, and middleware
·  Knowledge of modern DevOps tools, such as JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible, Git, Zen hub, etc.
·  Knowledge of the Red Hat portfolio to enable hybrid cloud capabilities
·  Experience with designing and building systems
·  Experience with cross-site teaming and organizational management
