Job description

Software Developer, IBM Corporation, Emeryville, CA: Build and contribute to low-¬level automation frameworks, with a specific focus in the areas of performance, system integration, and security. Collaborate with performance engineers and research scientists on continuous performance initiative. Work with DevTest team on building and integrating performance automation framework. Automate lab infrastructure and provisioning. Design and implement dev, test, and analysis tools. Contribute to development of performance and security test harnesses. Work across engineering functions to develop great software that beats market standards with respect to performance, reliability, and functionality. Work directly with core and SDK developers to identify and correct software defects. Utilize: Ruby/Phython, Jenkins, Vagrant, Chef, Ruby, Hadoop, Spark, d3, C, C++, C#, and Java. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Project Manager, Software Engineer, or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Ruby/Phython, Jenkins, Vagrant, Chef, Ruby, Hadoop, Spark, d3, C, C++, C#, and Java. Full time. D138.
