As a Sales Engagement Representative, you will have the exciting opportunity grow businesses and make excellent customer experiences with fast moving, internet centric companies around the world. You will be directly responsible for enabling customers to react quickly to their dynamic needs by actively managing inbound product, sales and usage logistics related communication. Sales Engagement Representatives use all of SoftLayer's inbound and outbound communication mediums to uncover and understand client needs and match those needs with an appropriate solution. Ideal candidates possess both a sales and technical background. The ability to work in a team environment is a must. Candidates should also be self-motivated problem solvers who can consistently make excellent customer experiences and grow SoftLayer's revenue base.
Essential Duties:
• Contribute to company sales goals through individual attainment by farming existing customer opportunities
• Maintain availability to service inbound sales inquiries in the form of sales tickets, live chats, phone calls, and direct email
• Leverage sales operational tasks and account services for unassigned accounts to find new revenue opportunities
• Take ownership of issue resolution and escalation to find new revenue opportunities
• Manage retention and revenue growth of unassigned customer accounts
• Assist customers with billing and account related inquiries
• Order validation and approval
Requirements:
• Mandatory to have fluent language skills in Japanese. Preferable to also have any of the following languages as well: Arabic, German, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish.
• Must be able to demonstrate previous proven sales, negotiation, communication and problem solving skills in a technology field.
• Demonstrated written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Goal-oriented and sense of urgency to meet deadlines
• Ability to effectively and persuasively communicate both written and orally
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills
• Self-motivation and discipline
• Professional and positive attitude
• Teaming skills
This role requires one to work a roster on a rotating basis:
Tuesday to Saturday
OR
Sunday to Thursday
