Job description
The Senior UX Designer is responsible for creating best-in-class user experiences and helps provide strategic direction for all aspects of the user experience. This role works in partnership with strategy, creative and technology associates and the client to understand business objectives, user goals, customer targets, technical platforms and capabilities, and translates that into a user experience strategy and framework. The Senior UX Designer must be a strong communicator, providing the UX viewpoint and helping present deliverables. This role reports to the Executive Director, User Experience.
Essential Job Functions
· Represent the voice of the consumer across all aspects of the business and touch points
· Help create and conduct high quality user experience deliverables and activities, including but not limited to: heuristic reviews, content audits, user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, rapid prototypes, and assisting with internal/external work sessions
· Assist in the creation of industry-relevant points-of-view and staying current with the latest trends
· Develop logic for tools & experiences and translate requirements to applicable teams
· Cross pollination and collaboration between other departments including creative, strategy, and technology
· Help conduct, design and analyze user experience and usability testing, incorporating testing best practices
· Reliably support multiple projects and client engagements simultaneously
Required Qualifications
· Understanding of how content, design, user interface and technology work together to create an optimal user experience
· Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles
· Strong understanding of information architecture, user experience, and content strategy
· Demonstrated ability to do UX work and create solutions based on business strategy and needs
· Ability to complete assigned work on time and on budget
· Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
· Background in all types of digital experiences, including mobile, tablet and responsive web design

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of experience creating user-centered design for large scale websites and/or applications and mobile platforms
Strong portfolio showcasing work
Passionate about keeping up to speed with trends and innovations in experience design, technology, development, visual design
BS in Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent experience
