Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software developer for the R&D Server Backend team. The backend team develops multiple scalable, cloud-based services consumed by parties outside and inside the organization. We strongly believe that good infrastructure and the correct tools greatly improve the quality of our work. We take pride in owning our applications from design to deployment, including auto testing and being responsible for our CI process.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
3-5 years of experience as a backend developer which includes:
* Good knowledge of Java (8 and above)
* Starting projects from requirements level (design to deployment) on distributed systems
* Writing comprehensive autotests to cover all business logic (using Junit or other test frameworks)
* Using logging and metrics frameworks with visibility in mind (Kibana, Grafana, etc.)
* Evaluating new frameworks
* Building scalable, cloud-based systems/microservices (familiarity with serverless services like AWS Lambda
Using build servers like Jenkins, Travis CI, etc.)
* Working with Linux operating systems, relational & non-relational DBs
* Using code management services like GitHub, GitLab, etc. and their code review flows
* Using containers with Docker or K8S
