Job description
The Application Delivery Response Team (ADRT) is an exciting, fast-paced team that offers experience with Linux and Cloud troubleshooting and support and provides opportunities to work with System, SAN, Network and Database Administrators.
The ADRT provides 24X7X365 monitoring and support for critical email marketing and merchandising SAAS by IBM and are part of the "Growth Plays/CAMSS" direction for the IBM company. ADRT team members respond to system alerts generated from a variety of monitoring tools. They use Linux Administration skills, dashboards and familiarity with the systems to troubleshoot, escalate and provide notifications for system outages. This team has been a preparation group for those who have moved up to Linux System Administration positions. The ADRT is a combination of a traditional NOC and Level 2 Support team.
Intermediate Linux/UNIX System Administration experience is a must. Good communication and problem-solving skills are required. The candidate must be able to confidently handle outage scenarios where they receive multiple alerts and phone calls, being able to initiate bridge calls, troubleshoot and resolve issues, escalate issues, send out notifications and update management for critical system problems.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Awareness of IBM DataStage Cognos
• Awareness of Networking & firewalls - TCP/IP, SSH, DNS, HTTP(S)
