Job description
IBM is seeking a candidate with a magnetics background to work as a Research Staff Member at its T. J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY.
This position is in the Magnetic Random Access Memory (MRAM) project. The candidate will be part of the team working on spin-transfer torque (STT) MRAM and is also expected to independently generate new ideas and explore new directions for next generation spintronics devices for logic, communications, and memory. We are looking to find a hands-on experimentalist with a proven track record of achievement. Candidates with a demonstrated background in magnetic materials, magnetic testing, or magnetic device physics are all encouraged to apply. The work will be done in conjunction with a diversely skilled team, so proven collaboration and communication skills are also essential.
A Ph.D. degree in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field with knowledge in magnetism is preferred.
