Research Scientist in AI (IBM Research Singapore Lab)

Job description

We are seeking an outstanding candidate to perform original research advancing the state of the art in AI and machine learning and leading to practical advances in important applications in Singapore and worldwide. The successful candidate will participate in projects, publish in top-tier AI conferences and contribute towards the development of world-class methods and systems for solving the most challenging real-world problems. The candidate will work with a team of researchers and software engineers on theoretical and practical projects that will utilize the candidate's scientific and programming skills.

We are interested in candidates with a proven background, publication record and experience in one or more areas of mathematical sciences: mathematical programming, machine learning, optimization, statistics, control theory, inverse problems, dynamical and distributed systems, online decision making, network problems, etc. We are especially interested in candidates with extensive experience in designing innovative solutions with real-world data.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:
·  Doctorate Degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, or Physics
·  Publications in top tier conferences and journals.
·  Python, C/C++, Java or other programming language
