Release Manager - Watson Studio Local

Job description

IBM Watson Studio Local (WS Local) team is searching for an experienced Release Manager to manage WS Local and Watson Studio Desktop. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude towards project management with a go-getter attitude. The Release Manager will be part of a team working towards managing the Offering Management Deliverables for WS Local and Desktop. S/he will foster proactive communication and escalation of delivery risks, assist in development tracking, facilitate pipeline status and risk discussions. Communication is critical for this role, as s/he will work closely with key leaders across the Offering Management, Product Development, Operations, and Client Support organizations.

The candidate must be able to lead a project team in delivering Oracle Applications solutions according to application management support contract.

Responsibilities include:

- Tracking and reporting the status of a release from inception to deployment;
- Tracking release content development progress, system testing progress and UAT progress;
- Tracking and reporting on the full life cycle of an IR/CR (development, system testing, UAT);
- Managing release package content, scheduling and deployment.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  2-5 years experience as a Release/Project Manager.
·  2 years experience managing risks and resolving issues that affect deployment scope, schedule and quality.
·  2 years experience in an on-premise continuous delivery environment.
·  2 year experience with an Agile tracking tool such as Github/Zenhub.
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for all aspects of this position.
·  Bachelor's Degree
