· IBM Research is welcoming applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position specialized in computational chemistry or computational physics.
· We are seeking outstanding candidates who obtained their Doctoral degree within the last five (5) years.
· The position is located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
· You will be hired as a full-time IBM Employee.
· Duration of the contract: 24-36 months.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· Doctoral Degree completed in the last 5 years in Computer Science or Materials Science or other related fields with considerable computational modelling focus.
· Expertise in Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science; familiarity with Metal-Organic Frameworks for CO2 Direct Air Capture and/or CO2 Hydrogenation and related areas.
· Demonstrated skills and expertise in performing molecular simulations based on, for example, Classical Molecular Dynamics (MD), Density Functional Theory (DFT), or Grand Canonical Monte Carlo (GMC).
· Be familiar with state of art programming (Python, C++, Java etc.) and computer engineering practices as well as data science and machine learning methods, including their implementation. Experience with deep learning, transformer models, and computational mathematics will be advantageous.
