Performance Engineer

Job description

-Provide testing and analysis of high-volume systems to ensure they are compliant with load and performance requirements and can perform well in production.
-Evaluate system performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
-Identify performance bottlenecks and work with Development to innovate appropriate resolutions.
-Define, develop and conduct system performance and stress testing.
-Analyze test results and suggest action plans.
-Report performance test results to Quality Assurance, Customer Support, Development, and Product Management
-Compile and analyze test results and write test reports
-Direct and/or assist in root cause analysis of performance issues
-Provide technical recommendations for system performance measurement and analysis, scalable architecture and profiling/troubleshooting techniques
-Solid understanding of On Prem to Cloud evolution as well as hands on experience working with public cloud

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Test automation development-GUI tools (Selenium-Java)
·  Must have excellent software development skills and understanding about object recognition.
·  Must have proficiency in development in Java, bash and Linux/Windows, SQL
·  Knowledge of at least one programming language
·  Demonstrable knowledge of OOP principles
·  Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.

The Performance Engineer is an integral part of the team that is responsible for participating in the execution of procedures for ensuring the performance, scalability and quality of new features and releases of software. To achieve this, the Performance Engineer will be required to collaborate across functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product and others) to plan, define, and execute performance/load/capacity tests and report on any issues that are observed during the testing cycle.
