Your Role and Responsibilities
Influence the direction of IBM’s Open Source support community and commercial engagement.
·  Mentor advisors working with clients in the field
·  Act as technical resource and point of escalation for team members.
·  Interact with the relevant Open Source Communities on behalf of clients and your interests
·  Engage in identifying and resolving complex problems relating to installation, update, configuration, operations or performance.
·  Present knowledge via articles, blogs and remote training.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Technical skills:
·  2 to 5 years of experience submitting problem reports via GitHub to one or more of these (or similar) open source projects: Apache Tomcat, Apache Kafka, OpenJDK, Spring Framework, WildFly, Nginx, Node.js, Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Commons, Apache Camel, Python OR
·  4 to 7 years of experience solving complex problems involving one or more of these (or similar) open source projects: Apache Tomcat, Apache Kafka, OpenJDK, Spring Framework, WildFly, Nginx, Node.js, Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Commons, Apache Camel, Python)
·  Decent knowledge of Linux Operating System (Red Hat, Suse prefered).
·  Experience answering questions on a public support forum (eg - community mailing list, web forum or Stack Overflow like forum). Non-technical skills:
·  Excellent problem-solving skills.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
·  Usage of WebEx, Team, Zoom.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Knowledge of container/hypervisor platforms (OpenShift, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, VMware, ...).
·  Experience working during off shift on critical issues (for example system down).
·  An understanding of what it takes to migrate from proprietary to Open Source platforms.
·  Cloud integration experience.
·  One to three years leadership or mentoring experience.
·  Active knowledge of non-English languages.
·  Any experience with Windows Operating System, AIX, System I.
·  Experience working in international team.
