Your Role and Responsibilities
The Product Manager role is key to IBM Sustainability Software delivering new and exciting offerings to our clients. Product Managers are responsible for defining requirements, business cases with investment plan, pricing/revenue/ forecast estimates, working with Consulting, Sales, Business Partners, Customers, Development, and other stakeholders to build a product roadmap, go-to-market strategy and enablement for the product. Provide inputs on strategy and industry expertise for products around sustainaibility, renewable energy, and emissions reporting as it relates to market needs and direction.

The Product Manager acts as a general manager of markets and offerings. They develop product vision and direction of future offering enhancements that address competitive gaps and meet market need. They work with both internal & external stakeholders to validate this vision and correct course if needed. The PM is responsible for clarifying the requirements of any new enhancements, industry use-cases or requests to allow for sound decision making in terms of the potential development effort. This requires working closely with various stakeholders including Consulting, Development, Sales & Account management.

Day-to-day tasks include defining & validating new product requirements that deliver the highest priority business and customer outcomes based on data driven decision making. This will involve articulating the vision and value of an idea, leading discovery workshops with the cross functional team, and documenting the requirements. Then driving the delivery program that brings the value to market.

Cross functional collaboration & communication is key to the success of this role to ensure stakeholder expectations are managed given the constant balance between new features and ensuring a quality & stable product that continues to meet existing clients’ needs. The Product Manager role is part of the team that helps set the priorities for the development sprints, in collaboration with the development team.

In this specific role the Product Manager will have responsibilities for key parts of our MAS common services services. They will own the capabilities around user authorization and overall product security. They will also be responsible for leading work around expanding our processor platform support to include IBM Power & Z.

Specific Responsibilities:
·  Maximo Application Suite Security and Authorization PM lead - provide product management focus on the security posture and user authorization services of the platform
·  Become the PM focal for role based and resource based access control strategies and their application in Maximo Application Suite.
·  Measure, analyse, and report on the user feedback and market fit for our authorization services.
·  Maximo Application Suite Multi-platform PM lead - provide product management focus on the delivery of support for the IBM Power and IBM Z platforms.
·  Be knowledgeable in what it takes both technically and commercially to take our existing AMD64 based product to these additional platforms.
·  Work across other IBM/RH teams to manage the dependency requirements that need to be satisfied to allow customers to run our full stack on these platforms. Work closely with these teams on GTM strategies that will maximise growth potential in these channels.
·  Measure, analyse, and report on the market performance of our multi-platform strategy.
·  Operate as a local representative for the overall product management function in your geo, providing critical feedback to the global PM team.
·  Asset Lifecycle Management subject matter expertise and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  3+ years experience in asset lifecycle management either as a practitioner or deploying technology
·  Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others
·  Effective organizational and problem solving skills
·  Experience writing detailed requirements

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

·  2+ years product management experience
·  Experience as a Maximo user, administrator, or application developer
·  Experience in ITSS security standards and Security by Design practices.
·  Experience in containerised software architectures
