Mainframe z/OS System Programmer with Assembler

Job description

Currently we are looking for Mainframe z/OS System Programmer with Assembler to work with Information Management System. As a computer programmer, you'll be playing a key role in the design, installation, testing and maintenance of mainframe software systems. The programs you create are likely to help the mainframe teams (system team, storage team, scheduling team, etc...) to be more efficient and provide a better service.
Work can be done remotely from any place in Poland.

Main responsibilities :
·  Reviewing current systems and developments
·  Presenting ideas for system improvement and automation
·  Support of the planning, configuration and migration of IMS systems in a large, international installation with multiple locations
·  All aspects of IMS systems administration for IMS for z/OS products including installation, configuration, upgrading, and providing maintenance of the systems
software and products in a large enterprise system environment
·  Development and maintenance of required documentation
·  Building, troubleshooting and changing scheduled jobs and following the customer's hand
over procedures
·  Working closely with other mainframe system engineers, analysts, operations and staff
·  Producing detailed specifications and writing the program code
·  Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live
·  Preparation of training manuals and documentation
·  Maintaining the systems and programs once they are up and running
