Mainframe System Programmer (with ALCS knowledge)

Job description

Looking for Mainframe support candidates who would like to participate in comprehensive projects. The job role to be fulfilled is ALCS Systems Programmer
System programmer should be self-sufficient and able to perform the majority of the tasks involved in his or her role without assistance.

Skills to have:
- Proficient with the Mainframe environment.
- Knowledge how to configure and administer CICS, ALCS , vendor application applications in the z/OS platform.
- Application deployment techniques and procedures.
- Installation, patching, configuring and problem determination for ALCS.
- Experience and capability in dealing with vendors for problem determination.
- Proficient in data transfer (and transformation) to and from host systems.
- Building and management of ALCS in a highly available environment on the Mainframe platforms.
- Systems/Applications Management experience.
- Configuring security, defining Queue Sharing Groups, publish/subscribe administration, gathering and analyzing statistics and accounting data for performance tuning.
- Troubleshooting/Performance Tuning of ALCS applications.
- Ensuring environment has no single points of failure and is operationally robust.
- Management and development of monitoring solutions for ALCS
