Introduction
System Services Representatives are the primary technical interface to clients for the coordination of hardware and software support and delivery of operational services. Sound pretty important? Absolutely! You will advise clients of preventive maintenance, configuration, operation and environmental factors which may drastically impact product performance or impair the client's IT operation.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As Linux admin /specialist, you are responsible to provide technical support with high degree of Customer Happiness by meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) and process compliance. You will perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters. You will need to visit the domestic client's offices / data centres on a daily basis or on an as-needed basis as part of this role.
Responsibilities
· Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Unix / Linux Servers
· Clustering and High availability management along with Virtualization solutions
· Perform installation, implementation, customization, operation, recovery and performance tuning
· Review Backup reports and Initiate actions on backup failure against specific documentation. Implement changes, perform security related tasks, identify and recommend improvements to existing processes and procedures
· Ready to work on 24/7 shifts to support client requirement
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· Minimum 3+ years in LINUX v6.0, v7.0, v7.5 install, configure, and upgrade of linux systems and servers
· Demonstrable experience in UNIX, Linux Server Support, designing, troubleshooting and storage implementation
· Ability to articulate standard methodologies for during implementation
· Proven experience in risk-based systems running on UNIX / LINUX platforms along with OS clustering, partitioning and virtualization
· Demonstrated experience in handling day-to-day UNIX-LINUX operating system installation, migration and break-fix support
· Willingness to work in nights shifts or support 24 x 7 Coverage as per the Business needs
