Job description

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to support this company's multiple industry and solution segments, focusing on the UK and Ireland region and with capability too to work across borders. He or she should be skilled and qualified to practice commercial and contracts law in this jurisdiction, however internationally qualified lawyers with appropriate qualifications and skills will also be considered. He or she should have five or more years Post Qualification experience.

The new appointee will have a range of responsibilities including being a trusted adviser to the company's applicable business leaders in the region. Key responsibilities will include negotiating, drafting and advising upon a variety of commercial arrangements, to include technology and consulting sales, support and other services contracts; software licensing, cloud and other new computing models (such as "internet of things" and cognitive computing), distribution arrangements, intellectual property, data protection, security including cyber security, as well as supporting other company projects as required. Experience in contracting with managed services, cloud and outsourcing type agreements and for the supply of IT hardware is desired. Regulatory and disputes handling experience will also be an asset.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Successful applicants will be extremely bright and engaging, with demonstrable strong PQE in commercial and technology related agreements
·  Your experience and training must have been gained from working in a prestigious law firm or in a blue chip technology organisation
·  Relevant in house experience in a multi-national organisation is very desirable, although not a prerequisite. Moreover, your intellect, a collaborative, positive and enthusiastic approach and genuine passion for being part of the technology driven revolution will stand you in excellent stead for this super opportunity
·  A Bachelors Degree in Law or Graduate Diploma in Law is required
·  Qualified as a Solicitor / Attorney / Lawyer in England and Wales or another common law based or European Union jurisdiction
