You are passionate about the Apple iOS platform and want to disrupt the world of application development on mobile and tablet devices; applying high standards of quality and adhering to strict software craftsmanship values. You will be critical in helping your clients make business and technology decisions in the implementation of their iOS-centred mobile strategy. You will have experience of designing digital solutions running on iOS devices and the backend infrastructure that enables them. You will have experience in defining the architecture vision and design principles, planning, designing and implementation of complex systems architectures (across different technology stacks, including open source) to meet both functional and non-functional requirements.

Preferred candidates will have a digital agency, consulting or professional services background, or have worked in iOS mobile-specific developments, for a high-technology or a global software corporation.

The ideal or more senior candidates might bring Sector Experience or Industry Specific Expertise – e.g. developing iOS mobile solutions for government departments or public bodies, health trusts, police, etc as well as proven experience in leading large teams in design, software development and live releases of B2B, B2E/E2E, and/or B2C native mobile apps.

Depending on seniority, the role is to provide technical solution architecture expertise to project teams implementing solutions based on the iOS platform, potentially leading work streams or design teams, on larger projects (if applicable). This includes preparing proposals, estimation of time/effort for work packages, presenting to clients and supporting business development and pre-sales activities in general (i.e. bids); as well as working on delivery projects in mobile technical architecture roles and in delivering mobile/tablets/mobile-web solutions.

You will be flexible, adaptable, hard-working and willing to travel or work away from home (including overseas weekday stays in hotels and working on client sites) up to 80%. You will be capable of anticipating and adjusting priorities and changing focus or projects. You will be proactive, a ‘self-starter' and a confident ‘networker', internally and externally.

You will have specific skills and strengths in mobile/tablet/hybrid specific architectures. You must have a technical or engineering related Degree (BSc) and ideally a Masters (MSc).

Preferred candidates will have a digital agency, consulting or professional services background, or have worked in mobile-specific projects for a high-technology company. Ideal candidates may also have client experiences or relationships with major corporates and be considered thought leaders or speakers/writers in iOS mobile/tablet solution architectures.

Demonstrable knowledge of MEAPS/MADP for cross-platform mobile solutions, Mobile Application Management (MAM) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) software would be beneficial as well as an awareness or understanding of mobile ad-serving/ad-targeting, mobile analytics solutions (e.g. Adobe, Tealeaf) and back-end mobile integrations to data feeds or databases (e.g. CRM).

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

· Demonstrable experience in architecture for iOS-based mobile clients and projects (experience in smartphone, tablet or mobile-web, external projects, ideally for a client) : Mastered
· All candidates should have released a minimum of 1 mobile app to a public/enterprise store, and in-depth knowledge of Apple App Store guidelines : Mastered
· Demonstrable iOS-specific architecture skills, across mobile/tablet form factors, understanding of languages applicable to iOS (i.e. Obj.C/Swift). Knowledge of iOS technical frameworks, best practices : Mastered
· Understanding of key Responsive Mobile Web technologies (libraries such Angular.js/Ionic or jQuery Mobile or Sencha Touch frameworks), responsive web design/development (HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, AJAX) : Mastered
· Experience in working with mobile middleware and mobile integration approaches with various mobile web services and message exchanges (i.e. JSON & REST, or also SOAP & XML) : Mastered

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

· Experience meeting strict security requirements of enterprise/high-grade consumer iOS apps (on-device, in-transit, server-side). Experience building solutions that utilise modern access man. protocols : Mastered
· Knowledge or hands on experience with the latest advances and trends in Apple mobile technologies (e.g. NFC, iBeacons, Apple Watch) : Applied
· Awareness of mobile ad-serving/ad-targeting, mobile analytics solutions (e.g. Adobe, Tealeaf) and back-end mobile integrations to data feeds or databases (e.g. CRM), experience with Agile or Scrum : Applied
· Confident and articulate client facing skills, able to explain tech. concepts to a non-technical audience and strong consult./collabor. skills for teamworking with colleagues and sub-contractors : Mastered
· Agility and Expectation to work across Europe and Globally at short notice - 80% : Mastered English: Fluent
