Your Role and Responsibilities
As a UX Designer (Intern) you will be a part of IBM iX, supporting our clients to create best-in-class experiences for their customers and users. You will be involved in the customer transformation agenda of IBM Consulting, redefining and inventing exciting and impactful user experiences to drive greater business value by design.

On a typical project you will:
·  Work with the design team to define the experience and product design direction
·  Research on design exemplars to inform and inspire the product outcome
·  Learn and apply design thinking frameworks and methods to identify design concepts and refine design outcomes
·  Apply Service Design and Design Systems thinking into real-life projects
·  Conduct competitive analysis for customers and creating benchmarks
·  Learn to conduct design research, market research on consumer segments and synthesise findings into actionable insights
·  Learn to craft and produce various design artifacts (e.g. Sitemaps, User Flows, Journey Maps, Wireframes, High-fidelity UI)
·  Plan and conduct usability testing with clickable design prototypes
·  Design UI components and patterns for design systems and guidelines
·  Use GenAI tools to create design artifacts (e.g. personas, value trees and user journeys)
·  May be part of metaverse, AR and VR application development
·  May be part of end-to-end chatbots design Typical project setup:
·  Agile setup with a cross-disciplinary team
·  Complex solutions that involve multiple systems and features
·  What we are looking for:
·  Penultimate year undergraduate in a design-related discipline (e.g. User Experience, Visual Design, Interaction Design, Product Design)
·  Proficient in using design toolings like Sketch, Figma, and Adobe XD for design mock-up and hi-fi prototyping
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable in engaging internal stakeholders and end-users
·  Interested in practicing design thinking for digital products/services
·  Resourceful self-starter and able to work independently
·  Consultative mindset
·  Team player that is open to different perspectives
·  Flexible; able to multitask and adapt quickly
·  Excellent communication skills in English
