Job description
Information Architect, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (40% telecommuting permitted): Develop solutions for enterprise database architecture and strategies. Implement architecture standards for application schemas, application access methods and application workload balancing. Perform database space resource capacity planning. Responsible for database administration, installation, maintenance and support. Perform database data center migrations. Responsible for database performance tuning and bench marking to ensure application meets business requirements. Provide technical support and training to users and team members. Utilize Oracle Database, Oracle GoldenGate, SQL, Shell scripting, unit testing, and database administration. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as an Advisory System Analyst, Support Analyst, Database Administrator or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Oracle Database, Oracle GoldenGate, SQL, Shell scripting, unit testing, and database administration. Full time. W250.
