Ilumio Cloud Security Engineer

Introduction
In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world.​ Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your Role and Responsibilities

·  Implement and configure the Illumio security solution to protect the organization's networks and systems.
·  Administer and maintain the Illumio infrastructure, including segmentation for public cloud applications and workloads.
·  Collaborate with the information security, network teams and external vendors to enforce consistent security policies across the organization and participate in security infrastructure implementation and improvement projects.
·  Customer-Facing Support: Engage with customers, utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills to address technical issues and provide support.
·  Network Security Expertise: Apply strong knowledge of networking concepts, SSL/TLS, VPNs, and other network security protocols.
·  Cloud Technologies: Utilize expertise in Cloud technologies, including Azure and AWS, to ensure secure and efficient network operations.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Experience implementing and administering the Illumio security solution.
·  Strong knowledge of information security, networking, and system architecture.
·  Experience with relevant security protocols and technologies such as VPN, SSL/TLS, IPsec, Firewalls etc.
·  Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a strong ability to engage with customers effectively.
·  Customer-Centric Approach: Experience in customer-facing roles, delivering exceptional service and support within Illumio environments.
·  Networking Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues, backed by a solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Recognized Illumio certifications such as Illumio Associate, Specialist and Expert are preferred.
·  Security and network certifications such as CompTIA Security +, CySA, CCNA, CCNP or equivalent experience.
·  Knowledge and experience in Cloud environments such as Azure, AWS and IBM Cloud.
