IBM Security L2 Analyst (X-Force Threat Management)

Job description

Currently we are looking for IBM Security L2 Analyst (X-Force Threat Management).
As a part of the X-Force Threat Management team member successful candidate will work with triaged security alerts to provide more comprehensive decoration, analysis, and recommendations in operational time. As a member of Investigation Team will act as technical resources for the X-Force Threat Management group. As such you will be the key contributor to response quality assessment processes.
As an expert in the very dynamic universe of security threats you will be responsible for ongoing assessment of detection and response capabilities and how those conditions are integrated into appropriate operations.

Roles and Responsibilities :
·  Provide thorough and specific investigation and analysis
·  Be experts on the constantly changing threat landscape
·  Identify opportunities for improvement in the client's detection and response posture. This includes the evaluation and initiation of system and policy changes
·  Actively engage with client's operational teams
·  Work closely with clients and other MSS teams to gather additional data that can assist with better assessment of security incidents
·  Own the Triage and Investigation quality assurance measures
·  Act as a resource for Triage analysts
·  Collaborate with other teams

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Robust experience as a Security Analyst
·  Deep knowledge and experience in at least three of the following security areas: IDPS / SIEM /Malware / Firewall / Vulnerability Scanning / Pen Testing / Web Protect/Defense / Resilient / Incident Response and Problem Management
·  Understanding of NIST Cybersecurity Framework
·  Understanding and experience with MITRE ATT&CK Framework
·  Strong verbal and written communication skills
·  Proactive and independent mindset as well as a willingness to share knowledge
·  Very good understanding of diverse and complex IT environments
