As the number of security breaches continues to rise, so does the need for highly skilled cybersecurity professionals. IBM Security's Academic Outreach collaborates with educators to aid in closing the cybersecurity skills gap by offering IBM academic resources as a competitive advantage to building strong talent in the marketplace.
The goal of IBM Security's Early Professional Program is to attract, hire and retain diverse top talent early professionals globally with cybersecurity knowledge, skills and experience.
Projects you may be working on include:
· Coordinate the overall planning of a 3 day IBM Security Early Professional Bootcamp – in person experiential learning experience, to be held in Atlanta. Assistance includes event planning tasks such as securing rooms, scheduling breakout sessions, planning food service, planning and securing extracurricular activities, preparing swag bags, etc.
· Plan science fair like showcase for IBM Security Atlanta summer interns to showcase their work to hiring managers and their peers.
· Plan and facilitate virtual intern showcases for summer interns not located in Atlanta.
· Assist with the planning for sponsorship and attendance at university career fairs, IBM Security information sessions, cybersecurity and academic (K-12 and university) related conferences and competitions.
· Draft communications, flyers and presentations for the program
