Your Role and Responsibilities
This job position is for IBM Japan.

As a software developer with IBM, your job will be to:

· 
Write code for the suite of software tools and cloud services that are part of our full-stack approach to delivering IBM's systems to developers and research scientists.

· 
Work in an Agile, collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code, and test innovative applications, and support those applications for our highly valued customers.

· 
Learn new quantum software engineering techniques and incorporate those principles into work processes.

· 
Participate in corporate events, executive speaker series, and showcase effective time management.

Period:2024/05/13 - 2024/08/30 (negotiable)
Time:9:00~17:36 (default)
Reduced working hours can be negotiated:
Place: Hakozaki Office (Tokyo)
Daily Salary:
9,700yen (for master's)」/10,900yen (for doctoral students)」(in case housing allowance is unnecessary)
15,700yen (for master's)」/16,900yen (for doctoral students)」(including housing allowance)
Commuting cost will be paid.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

· 
PhD or MS students

· 
Currently enrolled in an academic graduate program at an accredited university

· 
Proficiency with Git and/or Github

· 
Experience with programming in one or more core and scientific languages (e.g Python, C++, Rust).

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

· 
Experience contributing to open-source projects

· 
Experience in cloud software stack and/or compiler construction (especially LLVM/MLIR)

· 
Recognition as a Qiskit Advocate

· 
Certification as an IBM Quantum Developer (Quantum Computation using Qiskit).

·  English communication skills (email, conference calls) required
·  Cross-cultural knowledge is a plus
