The Roles

1.Business Consultant

IBM Business Consultants work with our clients to address new and often technology-enabled opportunities, as well as solve specific business problems. This may involve working through all or any part of the project lifecycle; understanding the client's requirements and analyzing the business context; advising them on best practice or recommended strategy; or designing and delivering solutions.
Projects can last anything from a few weeks to over a year, and can be based at a client site, an IBM location or a combination of both. We work at the interface of consulting and analytics; using data to derive insight for our clients, and helping to explain technical concepts using strong communication skills and creative visualization.
During your first 2 years, you'll move between different assignments, working with a variety of blue-chip clients. You may be designing and building innovative customer experiences, using leading edge methods to help plan, solution and execute client work, or analyzing business requirements and configuring functional software in the next generation of applications; making a difference to our clients and to the world.
Business consulting is varied: the path you take and the velocity of your progression will be largely in your hands!

2.Technology Consultant

In a world where groups of scrum teams increasingly deliver solutions, being technical is essential. And working in our client-facing teams means that multi-skilled technology consultants who have excellent people skills to bridge between business product owners and our project teams will thrive.
You'll grow a strong set of consulting and technical skills working alongside some of the world's leading technology experts in Digital, Cognitive and Cloud, learning from their experience as you take on increasing challenges and responsibilities; all of which provides opportunity for strong career growth.
You may be designing and building innovative customer experiences, using real-time analytics and cloud technologies, infusing cognition into our clients' enterprises, or building mobile and web apps; making a difference to our clients and to the world.
Our ambition is to enable you to become one of IBM's technology leaders: Solution Architects, Technical Programme Managers, Cognitive Architects, Digital experts, Distinguished Engineers and Cloud leaders.
