Role Description
Payroll operations for Hungary covers various processes in the employee life-cycle, including calculation and processing of on- and off-cycle payments to employees, payment and reporting to authorities, ad hoc reporting to internal stakeholders, posting to accounting, internal and external audit activities and processing of severance and leaver payments. Hence, payroll team needs to work in close cooperation with employee data management, HR department and accounting on the client side.
Hungarian Payroll Administrator is one of the more complex roles in the current HRO portfolio of the company, involving diverse series of processes adding up to E2E payroll services. Beyond the standard payroll processes, like payroll data entry, payroll execution and validation, payment to employees and 3rd parties, statutory reporting and posting to accounting, the duties include being kept up-to-date in payroll and social security related legislation, communicating to authorities, advising the client on payroll aspects of HR activities and serving as focal points for statutory audits. Therefore, the payroll admin has a pivotal role with significant direct service impact.
Key Responsibilities
· Process payroll for client employees and report to authorities timely and accurately
· Take ownership of payment, reporting and special issue resolution activities in line with the current legislation and client policies
· Support the client HR Manager and Specialist Teams with advise and administration on payroll related queries
· Complete hard and soft copy filing of newcomer/leaver/payroll evidences
· Perform monthly payroll controls
· Test Nexon system refreshments and cooperate with Nexon in calibrating system changes
· Be up-to-date on payroll impacting legal changes
· Report any issues to management and client in a timely manner and drive resolution
· Protect client confidential information and align with data privacy directives

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· Hungarian: Fluent
· English: Fluent
· Certified Hungarian payroll administrator (Társadalombiztosítási és Bérügyi szakelőadó)
· In depth experience with Nexon payroll system
· Experience with social security (OEP) and tax (NAV) audits
· Above average user skills of MS Office software package – especially Excel
· Ability to quickly learn new processes and adapt to diverse environments
· Ability to work under pressure
· Good time management
