What the role involves:
In the Cloud Application Innovation Consultant role you will learn how to solve clients' business and technology challenges focusing especially on cloud solutions. You will be part of the Cloud Application Innovation team and we are on a mission to take our clients on a journey going from automation and preventive maintenance, through simplification and modernization, to investing in data science tools, cognitive, IBM Cloud, Agile and API management services; all in the context of cloud.

Your role will introduce you to our method Build on Cloud, amongst others. We expect you to learn and adopt agile, design thinking, coding, continuous delivery and application management principles. You will also be developing on our IBM Cloud platform in different types of projects, such as modernize for cloud, migrate to cloud and other application enhancement projects.
In addition, you will get to work on analytics/data science projects using our Watson Data Platform tools. This includes both the actual analytical part of creating models, as well as the operationalizing of these models into a production environment.
You can expect to work on a variety of projects in many industries, e.g. Aquaculture, Energy & Utilities, Oil & Gas, and Health.
