Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Software developer, you will be part of a talented team working on the next generation of networking products within IBM's Software Defined Networking (SDN) unit. Your job will be to contribute to the design and implementation of advanced networking products, discuss software architecture, and work on complex hybrid cloud networking problems. As a senior engineer, you will be expected to mentor and guide other engineers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* 6+ years of professional development experience building backend systems in or more of these languages: Golang, C or C++, Java
* 2+ years of professional development experience in Golang
* Experience working on Linux OS, Kubernetes and containerization environments
* Experience in building services using relational and non-relational databases
* Experience using Git version control
* Experience in agile development methodologies
* Experience in Continuous Integration
* Experience in troubleshooting complex support issues and excellent debugging skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Experience in microservices architectures and API development (REST or gRPC)
* Experience in design and development on public Cloud like AWS, IBM Cloud, Azure.
* Experience in building SaaS products
* Experience in monitoring and observability technologies (prometheus, jaeger, )
