IBM GSSC (Globalization Shared Services Center) is now looking for globalization testing specialist. GSSC provides a comprehensive range of globalization services to IBM development teams. Our services cover globalization planning, translation management, globalization verification testing (GVT), globalization consultation, file management, and translation verification testing (TVT).

As a globalization software testing specialist, you will collaborate with worldwide product development teams for timely issues resolution while rigorously adhering to the team's agile development processes. You will be responsible for design, execution, and automation of test suites which thoroughly exercise new and existing functionality. You will be ultimately responsible for working with a group of peers to ensure that our products are delivered on schedule and with high quality.

The essential duties and responsibilities include product requirement and design review, test requirement definition, test strategy and test case design, test tools development, effective testing and quality assessment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test cases and set up test environments on various OS platforms
- Execute Globalization Verification Test (GVT) test cases by following the IBM GVT Guide
- Support worldwide linguistic testers to complete the Translation Verification Test (TVT)
- Track and fix problems for assigned tasks, identify concerns and potential problem areas for leaders
- Handle customer issues and perform the testing specific to language environments as requested
- Innovate to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of daily operation and testing processes

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

2+ years of testing experience
Familiar with software test methodology, process, and tools
Familiar with Windows, Linux, and Mobile platforms
Familiar with Relational database and Application Server, e.g. DB2/Oracle and WAS
Quick learner of new systems, processes, and tools
Flexible, responsible, and willing to accommodate to time differences around the world
Good at logical thinking, with analytical and communication skills
Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, creativity, and innovation
Good at time management
Fluent English and Mandarin in reading, writing, listening, and speaking
Basic programming skills, Java programming preferred
Being familiar with automation testing skill
Being familiar with Continuous Delivery practices is a plus
