Job description
Global Service Planning is an integral part of TSS business, working with the product development teams and service delivery teams to enable and ensure a new product is serviceable and the global delivery teams are ready. The global service planner drives product serviceability improvements, assess service costs, define process, develop a consistent worldwide service strategy and ensure the fix delivery plan meets customer requirements. The IOT service delivery planners work with the local processes and resources to reliably implement the service delivery strategy. All service planners have a view of customer expectations and TSS service capabilities. The role is highly technical and requires product knowledge and interfacing with the product / Brand and service planning/delivery teams. The service planning representative is the primary focal point for all post-sale technical support items as well as for Product Life-Cycle, and is the liaison to the service delivery teams.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· At least 1 year knowledge and experience with one of the following hardware product lines: - IBM Power
- IBM Storage
- IBM Mainframe
· Knowledge and experience with IBM Operating System and hardware functional specifications
· Basic knowledge and clear understanding of HW/SW warranty vs. HW/SW maintenance
· At least 2 years experience in communication / organization skills, good negotiator and easy to work with
· Ability to work in a global team environment as well as independently to prioritize and balance workload commitments within defined schedules
· Detail oriented and client focused
· Flexible; Able to work in changing conditions and with changing target dates
· English: Fluent
