Job description

Objective of the job:

The main mission of the Payroll domain is to deliver Payroll services to external clients. The team in general is responsible for the administration of various inputs received (from HR, employees, management, authorities, client), to run the payroll to generate payments to employees and third parties in an accurate, timely and well controlled manner, complying with the country specific regulations and proceed the accounting transfer from the HR module to the general ledger.

Key Responsibilities

The Payroll SME provides an essential function to ensure the timely and accurate processing and reconciliation of payroll balances through to ensuring the payment of third party payments to external vendors and regulatory bodies.

·  Ensures the timely & accurate processing of the monthly payroll accounting closing activities in accordance with the agreed service standards
·  Ensures the timely & accurate preparation of the monthly Reconciliation of all Employee Services Owned Accounts
·  Prepares account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
·  Documents financial transactions by entering account information
·  Ensures that all the accounting records of payments and deductions are correct and in line with company policy and country legislation defined in the job aids / DTPs
·  Enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
·  Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
·  Guides accounting administrators by coordinating activities, answering questions and training of payroll administrators
·  Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
·  Secures financial information by completing data base backups
·  Maintains financial security by following internal & Client controls
·  Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
·  Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations
·  Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
·  Continually strive to deliver excellence in Customer Service
·  Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
·  Accomplishes the result by performing the duty
·  Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
·  Owning specific work processes, being the payroll accounting expert in these, identifying ideas and investigating those raised by other team members to ensure maximum efficiency, and perform re-engineering if necessary
·  Participate in a wide variety of projects that impact payroll
·  Handle escalations, investigate and eliminate root causes
·  Handle reporting requests to support decision making
·  They coach junior members of the team if necessary. Communication/Negotiation
·  Possesses fluency in language of country/countries supported
·  Shares work updates with the team and the management with a view to improving processes
·  Draws upon professional concepts to collaborate with others to carry out assigned duties
·  Focuses on achieving excellence in customer satisfaction through both verbal and written communication
