Business Unit Introduction:
India Systems Development Lab (ISDL) is part of IBM Systems world-wide technology development lab. Established in 1996, the Lab is headquartered in India's Silicon Valley and startup hub - Bengaluru, with a strong presence in Pune and Hyderabad. Developers at ISDL deliver technology innovations across the entire Systems portfolio - z Systems, Power / OpenPOWER Systems and Storage. The team here works across the entire stack from processor design, firmware, operating system to software defined storage. The lab also focuses on innovations, thanks to the creative energies of the teams. The lab has contributed over 400+ patents in cutting edge technologies and inventions so far.
While computing veers towards cognitive, cloud, mobile, social, and security, the lab has significantly contributed to not just new products focused in these areas , but has also ushered in new development models such as Agile, Design Thinking and DevOps.

Who you are:
The Functional verification team is responsible for verifying the functionality of high performance hardware design for IBM's next generation Ultra high speed serial IO link (HSS) interface for Cognitive, ML,DL, and data centre applications using IBM main frame servers.

What you'll do:
As a Functional verification engineer, the person is expected to

·  Understand the design specification and logic design implementation understanding
·  Develop the verification environment and test bench
·  Develop skills in IBM Functional verification tools and apply them successfully
·  Work with Design as well as other key stakeholders in resolving/debugging logic design issues and deliver a quality design.
·  Writing test plans, building random / exhaustive verification environment, functional and code coverage analysis and debug.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  1-3 years of technical experience
·  Proven Experience in Functional Verification - Execution experience of verification of logic blocks verification.
·  Programming skills in C/C++. Knowledge of HDLs.
·  Exposure in developing test bench environment, write complex test scenario, debugging and triaging fails.
·  Proven communication skills and be able to work effectively in a global team environment.
