Your Role and Responsibilities
- Provide high-level advisory services to financial institutions in the Netherlands regarding the implementation and compliance with Anti Financial Crime (AFC) regulations, particularly Wwft and Sw.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their specific needs and tailor strategies, policies, and procedures for effective AFC compliance.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing AFC frameworks within financial institutions, identifying gaps and proposing actionable solutions.
- Offer guidance and support in the development and enhancement of AFC-related systems, controls, and processes.
- Stay updated with evolving regulatory changes, industry best practices, and technological advancements in the AFC landscape, ensuring our clients remain at the forefront of compliance.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Successfully completed university degree in economics, law, business or other relevant areas.
- Excellent level of Dutch language
- Knowledge and understanding of Dutch regulatory requirements such as Wft, Sw, and/or Wwft.
- Proficient understanding of business models and fundamental processes within the financial sector, particularly in relation to Anti Financial Crime (AFC).
- Relevant work experience in the financial sector (banks, insurers, pension funds, payment institutions and/or trust offices) and/or relevant work experience in the supervision of financial institutions.
- Experience in conducting investigations of compliance with Wft and/or Wwft and/or Sanctions Act
- Good attention to detail, writing and editing skills with the ability to construct well-founded, clear and concise analyses.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- AFC related qualifications (such as ACAMS or ICA) a plus.
