Job description
The (SDR), Europe Sales Development Representative for Security Systems will be responsible for engaging with prospects & clients to identify security opportunities for IBM sales reps and Business Partners to manage & close as won-revenue. SDR's leverage phone calls, emails & social selling to engage with prospects/customers in an effort to identify a need and help them understand how IBM's Security solutions & services can help address their needs.
The Security Systems division very much values the role of the SDR and has them fully integrated into the Sales & Marketing organization. We're looking for an individual that wants to make a difference in the hottest part of IBM. The person in this role should have effective organizational and communications skills.These skills will be critical when it comes to:
· Developing new business opportunities for IBM through the Response to Marketing generated inbound enquiries and outbound campaigns.
· Capturing a client's or prospect's requirements related to their needs, gathering an understanding of their decision making process and validating the opportunity by establishing a firm next step in the sales process and passing the details to the appropriate sales person to pursue.
· Nurturing responses through the early stages of the buyers journey until they're ready to meet; maintaining a relationship with prospects that are interested in Security solutions but do not currently meet the qualification criteria (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeframe, Competition).
· Partnering with inside and field sellers in shared sales territories to ensure the smooth handoff and progression of validated opportunities.
· Providing feedback to marketing and sales teams on the success and/or gaps of each tactic/campaign/Opportunity Identification (OI) activity to increase effectiveness. Most importantly you will need to act as a trusted advisor to your clients by helping to influence their decisions through your guidance and expertise.
