Digital Strategist – Paid Media - IBM Systems

IBM is focused on driving results through digital marketing and continuously improving our digital strategy and execution. The Paid Digital Strategist will be responsible for leading paid media programs designed to drive engagement and high-quality leads through digital demand generation campaigns. You will be in charge of all external, online acquisition marketing, managing the strategy, execution, and optimization across channels, working hand in hand with our Campaign Strategists to ensure consistent messaging and results.

In this role, the individual will:
• Enable and work with our paid media agency partners to drive the strategy and execution of paid campaigns in support of demand generation program and goals.
• Define a holistic paid digital strategy based on portfolio value proposition across one of our brands - Power, zSystems or Storage.
• Execute, report on and continuously optimize digital marketing campaigns across channels such as paid search, content syndication, paid social, display advertising and re-targeting.
• Develop testing strategies to ensure decisions and optimizations are data and market driven.
• Stay informed on the latest thinking and best practices around digital marketing trends, media buying and attribution to identify potential new channels/strategies to keep us ahead
• Liaise and partner with disparate teams across the company who are engaged in creating the future of IBM through digital innovations.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 2-5 years of in-depth knowledge of the various paid marketing channels and technologies, including paid search, programmatic, paid social & content syndication.
• Experience handling marketing budgets and forecasting and reporting on results.
• Strong understanding of metrics, digital media testing methodology and optimization strategies.
• Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to closely collaborate as a part of a team comprised of business, creative and technical types.
• Strong project manager with the ability to meet expectations on time and on budget.
• Advanced Excel skills, intermediate PowerPoint and Microsoft Word skills
