Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills to create innovative solutions, from requirements through design, into production and product sustainability. You will be able to utilise your experience to connect the physical and digital domains, to help your clients leverage IBM’s unique combination of industry and technology capabilities to operate more efficiently and effectively.

You will work as part of our talented and successful team to drive innovation of enterprise-wide Digital Engineering processes and will contribute to the implementation of solutions and technologies that support this, including Product Lifecycle Management Platforms, Manufacturing Execution Solutions, Digital Twins, and Internet of Things technologies.

An example of your responsibilities include:

·  Defining technical solutions to address complex business requirements, both business and technical.
·  Be able to map future proof solutions, avoiding complex or unsupportable solutions.
·  Understand product enhancement on the roadmap and be able to pair it with existing clients needs
·  Identifying application integration requirements, maintenance needs, upgrades, and data migration activities.
·  Develop action plans to resolve system issues or enhance system functionality to its fullest potential
·  Regularly undertake world leading training and keep up to date with skills and industry trends, which in turn would help you to ensure the most appropriate solutions are being implemented with our clients

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
To be successful in this role you will bring:
·  Knowledge of the Digital Engineering / Digital Manufacturing domains
·  Experience in your chosen sector e.g. Automotive, Aerospace & Defence; Environment, Energy & Utilities, Consumer Packaged Goods, Distribution and Public Sectors
·  Experience with designing solutions within software and/or interfaces. Managing workshops to analyse data and system issues for resolution.
·  A track record of contributing to successful projects either from an Industry or Consulting perspective
·  Ability to define all components of a technical solution including data model, integrations, software configuration and associated system infrastructure.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
It would be preferred if you had additional experiences outlined below, however these are not required when applying for the role:
·  Experience of working with Digital Engineering / Digital Manufacturing / Cloud technologies and platform. (Such as Teamcenter, 3DEXPERIENCE, Opcenter, Solumina, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure)
·  Experience integrating Product Lifecycle Management systems to other external systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Reporting and Analytics systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems.
·  Highly collaborative, with experience working in a complex geographical /functional matrix organisation.
·  Have to ability to identify client requirements and be able to provide architectural options, alternatives, rationales, and recommendations/solution evaluations.
·  Experience of application performance metrics and scalability whilst maintaining functional interfaces to the application infrastructure.
