Your Role and Responsibilities

Application Architecture and Engineering (AAE)

Sitting within Information Technology Department, the UX Writer/ Content Designer is responsible:

• Participate in user research activities to understand users' goals, behaviour and needs.

• Define context scenarios and tell stories about ideal user experiences the team wants to achieve.

• Write from the user's perspective, in plain English.

• Make complex language and processes easy to understand.

• Produce a consistent tone of voice guidelines for a product.

• Design content to meet user needs.

• Design appropriate usability tests for content.

• Uncover users' mental models for organising information.

• Design information architecture based on analytics, user needs and stakeholders’ priorities.

• Use methods such as card sorting, and tree testing to validate and iterate information architecture.

• Audit, track and map content to IA.

• Identify content gaps.

• Map the flow between users and the product.

• Use appropriate design patterns for organising content e.g. faceted navigation, tagging, hub and spoke.

• Define SEO and SEM strategies.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Ability to facilitate discussions and workshops with different stakeholders.

• Have UX writing, content design and content strategy experience on digital products or digital platforms.

• Possess a good portfolio that demonstrates creativity and craft in writing for digital products or media.

• Have strong conceptual skills with knowledge of how copy relates to design and user experience.

• Experience working closely with a UX team of Interaction/UX designers, Visual designers and UX researchers to deliver the best user experience.

• Experience working in a cross-functional and agile development team would be a bonus.
