Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role you will support, advise as a delivery consultant who can speak about the interconnected and integrated security landscape in Customer’s business context talking to senior management or technical Teams.
On term you should have acquired depth of knowledge and experience in the Data Security domain and should be able to speak across the landscape as well.
As a confirmed consultant, working under minimal supervision you will provide subject matter expertise in the form of briefings, workshops, and/or consulting engagements within your domain that assess a client’s security capabilities as well as recommending solutions to enhance a client’s overall security capabilities. Such client security capabilities may involve policy, process, technology, or organizational areas.
Information and Data are some of the most important organizational assets in today’s businesses. As a Security Consultant, you will be a key advisor for IBM’s clients, analyzing business requirements to design and implement the best Data Security solutions for their needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client's organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.
The consultant, working under minimal supervision will be internal advisor to other IBM consultants and client teams. The consultant will implement the IBM Security software at customers with as biggest focus to make the customers successful with IBM Software.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Required Professional Expertise:
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Ability to work with members of the customer team as a deployment facilitator.
· Strong writing skills
· Comfortable working in a project based / client serving model.
· Support and influence client expectations in the Data Security domain
· Ability to work with global and diverse teams in a dynamic environment in a matrix management model.
· Ability to deliver product training to customer groups and individuals
· Strong track record in building relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders
· The second European language despite good command of English is a must.
Security Domain Skills (Data Security) and Technical Skills:
· Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for Data Security
· Some experience delivering Data Security consulting and deployment projects
· Experience in performing and supporting projects in one or more Data Security domain: Data security and monitoring; Vulnerability assessment of data repositories; Sensitive data discovery and classification; Data encryption and tokenization; Data Base user Entitlement
· An understanding of data security compliance directives and mandates
· Knowledge and Hands-on experience with SQL language
· Experienced with some database environments such as Oracle, Informix, SQL Server, UDB/DB2, Informix, MySQL, Teradata and/or Sybase.
· Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments; Distributed environments; Cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google)
· An understanding of Enterprise architecture; Cloud architecture and Network concepts
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
· Experience with Guardium Data Security product deployments
· One or more relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, SABSA or other
· Experience with Data Security Policy basics
· UNIX scripting and Perl programming
· Knowledge and experience with Ansible, Java Scripting and XPath
· Knowledge and experience with Big Data technology and environments
· Basic Knowledge on Z/OS environments
· Knowledge in another European language is preferred, such as German, French, Italian. As an experienced consultant you will identify gaps in the current environment and recommend best practices or solutions to reduce client risk and increase their ability to deal with emerging threats and risks to the organization.
