Job description
The Engines and Pipelines group of IBM's Watson Data Platform, is seeking a Data Platform Project Manager to join the team. The Watson Data Platform is a cloud based data processing and analytics platform. The Engines and Pipelines team is responsible for building foundational components of the platform that focus on ingestion, processing, and distribution of large quantities of data as well as integration of the data with other components of the platform, such as analytics engines.
The ideal candidate will have experience effectively coordinating large/complex software projects. The selected candidate will need to be able to have excellent organizational and communication skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have good technical skills and experience with multiple software development life cycles with an emphasis on agile methodologies.
In this role, you will coordinate the day-to-day development activities of multiple development teams, in cooperation with the team lead, by leading scrums and planning development iterations. In addition, you will be responsible for coordinating dependencies across multiple teams and reporting status to the program management team to ensure alignment with larger Watson Data Platform roadmaps.

· Demonstrates comfort in a fast-past, delivery execution environment where priorities shift frequently
· Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of personnel (developers, business teams, management)
· Must possess great interpersonal and group communication skills and must be a team player with a terrific attitude

· Undergraduate degree or similar combination of education and experience
· 2 - 3 years of proficient experience managing and tracking day-to-day tasks
· 2 - 3 years of proficient experience multi-tasking and adjusting to changing priorities
