Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM is looking for a Data and AI Sales Specialist to accelerate the growth of IBM’s flagship software platform watsonx in whitespace accounts across Georgia, Alabama & Mississippi – with a focus on the Atlanta Metropolitan area.
The role has unlimited potential and is focused on driving strategic wins with new & existing clients to adopt and expand IBM Data & AI solutions across their enterprise. You will work closely with IBM’s Business Partners to develop and grow your territory. In this role creativity, attitude, and a willingness to learn will help you to succeed. Your commitment to succeed will help capture market share and new customers for IBM by working closely with Business Partners, Client Engineering, Technical Sales Teams, local management teams, and the wider IBM Ecosystem.
You will be responsible for:
· Develop Partner territory plans to identify strategic growth targets, revenue objectives, enablement goals, key Partners.
· Set milestones to measure successful execution of the territory plan.
· Opportunity creation through close engagement with Partners and your own selling & prospecting efforts – using the industry leading tools provided by IBM.
· Engage directly with Partners and their Clients in support of high value engagements and opportunities.
· Leverage Ecosystem programs and co-marketing to drive joint demand generation, prospecting, or solution co-creation.”
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· You’re an entrepreneur - who likes to run a business and know that owning your own growth strategies and pipeline generation is fundamental to your success
· Ability to lead and collaborate with several teams within IBM and partners externally
· Multiple years of direct, face to face customer selling experience
· Multiple years of selling Data solutions at a major software provider
· Industry knowledge of IBM competitors in the Data marketStrong technical understanding of the following enterprise domains: Data Warehousing, Data Governance, and Data Science
· Establish client value propositions that tie key strategic, financial, and
· operational metrics directly to near and long-term business improvement
· Develop client relationships that foster public references, case studies, and industry recognition
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
· Intimate knowledge of Data marketplace and unique perspective on how to compete within it – experience making markets
· Prior experience selling Data services within Snowflake, Azure, AWS, or GCP platforms
· Multiple years of experience in leading large complex deals and value-based selling with track record of overachieving quota.
