The primary role of the Credit Analyst is to conduct a proper assessment on the creditworthiness of the entities requesting credit from IBM and from its operating entities.

Key responsibilities:
·  Financial analysis - ability to understand and analyze company's financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow, Forecasts and Budget reports).
·  Forecasting - have an appreciation of future cash flows and consideration of how these impact debt repayments.
·  Communication - explain the decision made and its justification to the Sales team.
·  Follow the news - read financial briefings and take actions in timely manner in case any of the client of IGF gets in trouble
·  Understand financial offerings - be familiar with our products and programmes and their structures, risk mitigation elements (collateral, securities and credit insurance policies) etc...
·  Financial Markets knowledge - ability and interest to understand the wider economy, sovereign risks, industry trends and how they affect IBM's customers' credit standing.
·  Understand and implement IBM's Credit directives and credit initiatives, ensuring appropriate controls are maintained.
