Country Legal Counsel:
·  The successful candidate will be responsible primarily for providing legal advice and contracts and negotiations support to the IBM Country leadership team in Indonesia, particularly supporting the Country General Manager.
·  This includes assisting the relevant business lines with contract drafting, preparation, responses to proposals, mark-up of contracts and RFP/RFIs, contract administration and commercial negotiations for all lines of business with a particular focus on government transactions and strategic initiatives
·  The candidate will also be expected to work with the rest of the ASEAN Legal and Contracts team and some job overlaps may be expected
·  The candidate will also be expected to provide support for compliance and corporate matters involving advising the IBM Indonesia Board and various corporate entities within its corporate structure
·  The candidate will perform a customer facing role
·  The candidate is required to support internal functions or other business lines such as Treasury, Procurement, HR, Software, as required Roles & Responsibilities:
·  Providing advice on a broad range of commercial and legal issues of relevance to the ASEAN region with a particular focus on Indonesia
·  Preparing, negotiating and advising on all aspects of contracting
·  Working with various business lines, and the Company's finance, regulatory and risk management teams, to provide solutions consistent with the Company's corporate policies and positions
·  Ensuring documentation is maintained, and that organisational memory is retained, within the corporate business group
·  Providing education on contracts compliance issues (including business integrity, ethics and FCPA)
·  Performing the lead negotiator role in large or complex deals
·  Managing an Executive relationship with the Indonesia Country General Manager and Executive members of the Indonesia Leadership Team
·  Serve as manager as well as provide coaching & advice to other members of the Indonesia legal team on contracts and negotiations matters

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  A degree in law and legal qualification, with 15-20 years' PQE gained as in-house lawyer or with a reputable commercial law firm.
·  Previous exposure in an IT – related industry is an advantage
·  Experience and demonstrated success in negotiating large & complex deals particularly in the area of strategic and managed business process outsourcing, systems integration projects and consulting
·  Experience in international contracting matters is an advantage
·  Ability to give advice with an eye as to the commercials of a matter
·  Demonstrated ability to influence contract structure & business decision making for the benefit or advantage of the company
·  Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment, and to meet critical deadlines
·  Ability to handle multiple deals/matters concurrently
·  Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
·  Possessing a high standard of personal and professional integrity
·  Fluency in the Bahasa language
