Position Title: Corporate Communications Intern
Job Location: New York, NY
The Weather Company, an IBM Business, is seeking a Corporate Communications Intern for the Spring Semester.
Responsibilities include daily monitoring of industry news and compiling press clippings, media list building, drafting press materials & internal announcements, administrative tasks, and special projects.
This paid internship will provide a close-up view of the inner workings of a media and technology company's communications department. Interns are required to commit to at least 15 hours, but no more than 40 hours, per week.
Qualifications: Applicants must have strong communications skills and should be majoring in (or recently graduated from) public relations, communications or a related field. They should be professional and self-motivated, possess strong writing skills, have a solid understanding of public relations, be able to multi-task, have a good attitude, and be able to function well in an environment with short deadlines and quick turnaround projects.
Timing: Spring intern (Jan - May)
