Your Role and Responsibilities
The Blue Studio is IBM’s internal creative team, responsible for the strategic evolution and expression of the IBM brand across every experience and encounter, internally and externally. The Blue Studio is part of IBM's Marketing function and supports all of IBM, horizontally, across all businesses, and vertically, from the top of the funnel to the bottom. The work crosses nearly every category of output: research and strategy, communications and content development, symbology and systems, digital and physical experiences, and tools and training. Our goal is to maintain modernity, sophistication, and tangibility and to promote understanding of the IBM brand in the world.

Here, our copy editors function as part of a world-class team, partnering with writers to make sure that small mistakes won’t distract from the larger message. Your responsibilities will include:
· Reviewing and correcting spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax
· Re-writing or rephrasing lines that are awkward or unclear.
· Ensuring consistency in language and formatting.
· Checking cited facts and claims for accuracy
· Ensuring compliance with brand and campaign standards
· Provide explanations and feedback to writers to improve future work.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· 4+ years as a professional copy editor
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
· Degree in English, writing, journalism or an adjacent field
· Mastery of the Chicago Manual of Style
· History of work with international clients
· Writing and editing marketing copy
· Demonstrated success as an editor in the technology sector
· Collaboration with diverse, distributed teams through tools such as Workfront, Box, Mural and Figma MCCJBID
