The Public Service Sector consulting practice is a trusted advisor to federal, state and local governments, partnering to meet challenges and responding quickly to citizen demands, business needs, new economic conditions, and changing legislative priorities and policies.
Our Contracts and Negotiation service line has an excellent opportunity for a federal government contract professional to join a team of trusted advisors to IBM's federal leaders. The Contract Engagement Advisor will serve as a business advisor to our federal business providing advice and counsel selling IBM products and services to clients.
Location: DC Metro area, VA, or MD
In this exciting role you will be under the direction of senior staff serving as a business advisor to IBM's federal business providing advice selling IBM services to IBM clients.
Responsibilities include:
· serving as contractual advisor during the full contract lifecycle to include pre-award and post award related tasks;
· assist in the review of agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements and client solicitation documents;
· assist in developing proposal responses, developing terms & conditions and assisting in developing negotiation strategies;
· provide support to client/brand teams in creating well-structured deals that meet IBM's financial/client goals, advising clients on the optimal way to structure transactions within IBM's delivery frame work and identify key deal points which affect revenue recognition;
· modifying customer documents & standard agreements, drafting agreements and engaging in direct negotiations with customers;

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· 1-3 years of experience in MS Office to include excellent Excel skills.
· 1-3 years of experience in paralegal duties including data entry
· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret written documents.

· The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
