Business Analyst

Job description

The ISSP BA should have experience with requirements analysis in a software development project - ideally in an agile setup. The main task of this person is the translation of business needs and opportunities to business and IT requirements, and further decomposition of requirements/epics to agile user stories, which are used by developers for implementation. It would be very hard for a new candidate who has mainly acted in process analysis and optimization to satisfy these prerequisites. We use Rational DOORS and GitHub/ZenHub for the SW development lifecycle, some experience with these tools (focusing on DOORS and GitHub) is needed. In addition, finance or pricing skills or background knowledge is beneficial (the main intention of the SW is cost- and price calculation).

Scope of Work / Role & Responsibilities:
Member of a Scrum team and a daily partner of ISSP Product Owner
Assist the IBM solutioning and pricing business owners and the geography focal points to elicitate and analyze requirements
Translate functional and non-functional requirements to user stories and other specification artefacts (scenarios, UI sketches, business rules, glossary terms, etc.)
Validate and verify the requirements - facilitate review sessions, formal and informal
Assist product backlog grooming activities
Contribute in Sprint Planning
Subject Matter Expert and reviewer for acceptance testing scenarios
Support the requirements during solution delivery lifecycle
Run OR contribute to demos of the new ISSP functions presented during Playback sessions
