Your Role and Responsibilities
At IBM, you will be part of WatsonX.data development team responsible for developing use cases, enterprise like workloads, automation scripts for deployment, test execution, and gathering and storing data for detailed analysis and other development projects, under SRE/QA/Security/Release Engineering team. The work will also include developing automation to deploy Watsonx.data various environments, including on-perms, AWS, Azure, and IBM Cloud. You will actively contribute to all phases of software development including development and testing. You will also work with IBM Client facing teams and IBM Clients to help with resolving client issues and incorporating the feedback in future releases.

Some of the core capabilities that you will develop and maintain include -
·  Deploy and verify Lake House on OpenShift, Cloud Pak for Data platform and standalone virtualized environment including integration with Data platform micro services.
·  As a Full Stack developer should be responsible for designing and developing data analytics and algorithms that help analyze the logs/result files.
·  Use continuous integration tools like Jenkins and Travis to build automation pipeline to deploy different service workloads for Lakehouse.
·  Develop programs/tools in python to calculate the reliability and resiliency of Lake House. Use these tools to analyze the performance of the Lake House OpenShift cluster.
·  Works in partnership with development team for development, testing, and implementation, and support and maintenance of the designed solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Overall 5+ years of IT Industry experience
·  Experience working with Linux or Unix based OS
·  Experience with any one modern programming language like GO, NodeJS, JavaScript, Python.
·  Experience with integrated development environments (eg: Eclipse, Visual Studio Code)
·  Experience with Source control management (eg Git): to enable teams to work together to manage changes to source code
·  Experience with containers, containers orchestration software, cloud platforms.
·  Knowledge/Experience with automating infrastructure, testing, and deployments using tools like Jenkins, Puppeteer, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or any other automation framework.
·  Good hold on technology like Kubernetes, Microservices, Cloud Storage, delivery pipelines, and REST APIs. Experience with Microservices Architecture and design.
·  Strong development experience with REST API development
·  At least 2 years working experience.
·  Experience with any Cloud Platforms i.e. IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Experience with Business intelligence tools
·  Experience with Data Engineering, Data Governance, Data Management
·  Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM-based environment
·  Knowledge of SQL and relational database technology (e.g. Postgres, MySQL, Db2, Oracle, SQL Server)
·  Strong understanding of diverse infrastructure platforms & concepts.
